Mutineers is a LIVE band based out of Kolkata, West Bengal. Formed in 2006, the band is making rounds with their rock music. Mutineers has composed several original numbers and also cover popular songs of other artists. Subho Das tried to find musicians for this project and gathered vocalist, Rakesh Roy, and former member, Ardhendu Shekhar Banerjee, and started jamming with an acoustic guitar. After few months, Anit Das joined as drummer. Subho left the band due to some issues and joined again in 2007. Rajib Saha joined as the bass player because the former bassist, Abhishek, left the band. Mutineers’ first out-of-state performance was in Delhi in 2007. Shaibal joined the band as its keyboard player in 2010. Ardhendu left the band due to his academic career, and Jagrata (Jagaran's brother) came up as his replacement. Some of their influences are Eagles, Pink Floyd, Scorpions, AR Rahman, Fokir Lalon Shah, Satyajit Roy, SD Burman, RD Burman, Rabindra Nath Tagore, many more.
