Childhood Picture of Mukta Barve with her Mother.When she was in class 10, Mukta Barve made her acting debut with the Marathi play Ghar Tighancha Asava, and went on to play the supporting roles in the Marathi plays, Aamhala Vegle Vhayache (2001) and Dehbhaan (2005).To focus on her acting career, Mukta moved to Mumbai later, where she stayed at a girls hostel in Kurla.She appeared in a lead role (a student) for the first time in the Marathi play Final Draft (2005) and has since then acted as a lead actress in various Marathi plays such as Hum To Tere Aashiq Hain (2006), Kabaddi Kabaddi (2008), Chhapa Kata (2013), Lovebirds (2015), and Codemantra (2016).Mukta Barve made her Marathi television debut with Ghadlay Bighadlay (1998) as Champa and further played small roles in the Marathi TV serials, Pimpalpan (1998), Bandhan (1998), Buwa Aala (1999), Chitta Chor (1999), Me Ek Bandu (1999), Abhalmaya (1999), Shriyut Gangadhar Tipre (2001), and Indradhanush (2003).In 2006, she appeared in a lead role for the first time in television with Agnishikha as Kalika. She has acted in television shows, Agnihotra (2010-11), Lajja (2011), Eka Lagnachi Dusri Goshta (2012), and Rudram (2017). She made her debut as a host with the Marathi game show Amhi Marathi Pora Hushar (2010).
