Mr Vgrooves is a professional DJ based out of the capital of Haryana and Punjab, Chandigarh. A keen sense of music and an excellent natural talent, VGrooves always had this as a gift of God. Music fascinated him since early childhood. He just knew that no matter what he does in life, it has to be associated with music. Soon, he finished school and went off for formal training in DJing and mixing. And, who better to teach him than DJ Jitesh, the winner of All India War of DJs, 2007. In 2006, VGrooves was the first student of Jitesh (Spin Gurus Academy). Under his able guidance, he picked up the delicate nuances of music. Consistent hard work and experiments in the field sharpened his skills. Along with mixing, he started performing as a freelancer in and out of Punjab. In 2007, he won the top place at the Battle of DJs held at Amity University (Noida) during The Big Picture 4th National Media Fest. Another feather in his cap was the All India War of DJs, IIT Roorkee, in 2008, where he was declared the winner from amongst the best of DJs who came from across India for the renowned fest, Thomso 2008. And gradually his talent started getting the recognition it deserved. He has hardly crossed the voting age and is already working as the promo producer for 94.3 My FM (Dainik Bhaskar Group). Not just that, he was the national DJ for their show, My Club Mix, that played his remixes in their 17 stations all across India from 9-12 every Saturday night. An artist and a producer, making the country sway to his music and mixes, having worked with the biggest of names in radio, Big 92.7 FM and Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM as a freelance promo producer, making the finest quality in-house as well as sales productions is just some of his feats. Another speciality, which is a hot favourite all over the north, is his jugalbandi along with his friend, Jayant, who is a percussionist. The tunes mixed with LIVE tabla, dhol, and 17 more percussions create unforgettable melodies.
