Mesa is a celebration of the unbelievable journey that every soul makes to reach a state of equality – and all the amazing experiences that the band has encountered during that journey like fear, beauty, bliss, sensuality, confidence or even pressing insecurities. This multi-genre fusion band from Mumbai (formed in January 2015) takes this wide range of experiences and turns them into intricately woven pieces of music that appeal to all kinds of listeners. Currently, it consists of Vamsi Krishna (western vocalist, songwriter, composer), Ranjani Iyengar (Carnatic vocalist, co-composer), and other talented artists on collaboration support. They believe that music can stir something deep in human beings that nothing else can. If created with enough passion and soul, it has true power, almost physical. And that is exactly what Mesa’s music is all about – freeing the spirit, touching the soul, and honouring every single emotion that is being felt.
