Manu Krishnan is a professional percussionist based out of the capital city of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. He is talented drummer and teacher, famous for his progressive drumming skills. He has been a demanded session drummer for genres like RnB, blues, fusion, and film industry circles. Manu's father introduced him to the music world when he was just five years old; he taught him Indian Carnatic vocal. He was only eight when he began with learning Mridangam, an Indian percussion instrument. This marked the beginning of his journey as a percussionist. Manu began to learn drums when he turned 14. Later, he began to perform as a solo artist and won several state-level competitions during his higher-secondary school days. He later opted for a diploma in Sound Engineering from Chennai. He then continued his studies from the Trinity College of Music (London). Manu has deep connections with heavy rock he has gradually progressed himself into metal. He has played with several metal bands and has won numerous competitions in India. Manu also teaches at a lot of music schools and imparts private training on various styles and techniques of drumming, from basic to advanced level.
