Manjot Singh is a Bollywood actor who is based out of the financial capital of India, Mumbai. Manjot was born and brought up in Delhi. He did his schooling from Hillwoods Academy. Before getting into the movies, he had no experience of acting. He just gave the audition for 'Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!' and the casting director of the movie rejected Manjot. Though Dibakar Banerjee saw his Lucky only in Manjot. So, after getting selected for the role, Manjot was sent to Manali for an acting workshop. He was asked to observe Abhay Deol's way of talking, walking, and his attitude in movies. In the movie 'Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye!', Manjot's performance was highly appreciated. He also received an award in the Filmfare Critics Awards for the best actor. After this, his career kicked off well and he never turned back. In the year 2010, he took part in the reality show 'Khatron Ke Khiladi – Season 3'. Manjot did the film 'Udaan' in the year 2012. Though the film was highly acclaimed by the critics, but it didn't do much business on the box office. In that year only, Manjot did 'Pure Punjabi', a Punjabi film, and the Karan Johar-directed 'Student of the Year' which was a hit in the Bollywood and was also a multi-starrer film. In the next year, Manjot worked in 'Fukrey', which turned out to be a super hit in Bollywood. His performance was highly appreciated by the critics, in the movie. Manjot has also done the movie 'Azhar' and played the character of a cricketer as Navjot Singh.
