Biography

Manish Paul is a professional television host, anchor and Bollywood actor based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. He is popularly known as the host of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Starting his career as a radio jockey and VJ, he moved to acting on television daily soaps, before taking up stand-up comedy and hosting television reality series. Born in Delhi and brought up in a Bengali family, he was involved in a financial business. Paul completed his schooling from Apeejay School, New Delhi. After his schooling, he finished his BA in Tourism from College of Vocational Studies, University of Delhi, and then moved to Mumbai with his grandmother in Chembur. Paul started his career as a host in Delhi by compering cultural events in schools and colleges. After shifting to Mumbai, his first break was hosting Sunday Tango on Star Plus in 2002. He remained a VJ with Zee Music and a radio jockey with Radio City's morning drive time show, Kasakai Mumbai. Later, he entered a channel Star One's Ghost Bana Dost to play the role of a ghost. Paul has acted in many serials like Radhaa Ki Betiyaan Kuch Kar Dikhayengi (NDTV Imagine), Zindadil (ZeeNext), Ssshhhh...Phir Koi Hai (Star One), etc.
