Mahul is a LIVE folk band based of the capital city of West Bengal, Kolkata. The members are devoted to various types of Bengali folk songs but have a special interest for folk songs originated from their base – Jhangram. Mahul Lokoganer Dol has done research in different folk styles of Bengal, besides Baul, Tusu, Bhatiyali, and Bhadu. Currently they are working on the masterpieces of Rabindranath Tagore, which includes his songs, compositions and paintings. Mahul band is also researching on rural folk artistes and is trying to rehabilitate them.
