Laachi Bawa and Glory Bawa is a professional singing duo based out of Amritsar, Punjab. Both sisters hail from a musical family which includes Mrs Gurmeet Bawa, the living legend of Punjab and a famous folk artist. Glory Bawa and Laachi Bawa are duet singers and are known as the Bawa sisters. From childhood, they started performing on stages and won many competitions in several schools, colleges, and universities. Both have a masters and MPhil degree in music vocal and instrument (sitar). As A Grade artists, they have been singing on All India Radio and Doordarshan for more than 20 years. The Bawa Sisters have performed in several places like Kamani Theater (Delhi), Gaiety Theater (Shimla), Summer Festival (Shimla), and Independence Day Celebration (Jammu). They have also performed for various organisations such as North Zone Culture Centre, Virsa Vihar (Amritsar), Punjabi Academy (Delhi), Punjab Art Council (Chandigarh), Punjab Sangeet Natak Academy (Chandigarh), and Spic Macay. Awards: Winner, Jashan Festival, GNDU, 1995 Dr Mahinder Singh Randhawa Award, by Punjabi Sath Lambhra, Jalandhar Ustaad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar, by 'Sangeet Natak Academy' Govt. of India, 2013
