Does Kuldeep Yadav smoke: Not Known.Does Kuldeep Yadav drink alcohol: Not Known.Kuldeep was born in a small village in Unnao district of Uttar Pradesh. He, however, later shifted to Kanpur in search of better training facilities.Although Kuldeep started as a fast bowler when he first joined a cricket academy in Kanpur, he later switched to chinaman on the advice of his then coach, Kapil Pandey. The transition, however, wasnt smooth for the young lad; in fact, he once even cried for making such a decision.Chinaman bowlers are still a rare breed, which is corroborated by the fact that as of January 2017, there have been only 28 International bowlers to adopt this technique/style of bowling. He was first picked in the Indian Under-19 team as a 17-year old in April 2012. However, he missed out on selection for the Under-19 World Cup, which India eventually went on to win under the leadership of Unmukt Chand, later that year.Kuldeep was a part of the Mumbai Indians squad during the 2012 edition of IPL but didnt get to play even a single game. The following year, he was picked up by the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) for a sum of $66,000. Although he managed to get only 3 games in the IPL season, his bowling turned tables for KKR in the Champions league (CLT20), wherein the KKR went on to qualify for the finals.Good bowling figures in the CLT20 helped him get an early call-up to the national squad for a series against West Indies. Unfortunately, the West Indian team abandoned the series mid-way due to a dispute with its cricket board and Kuldeeps international debut was left in vain.In March 2017, while debuting against Australia, Kuldeep became the first-ever mens Chinaman bowler to represent India. Notably, Chinaman bowling is left-arm unorthodox spin, wherein the bowler spins the ball into a right-handed batsman. Although the direction of turn is same as that of a right-handed off-spinner, the ball turns more sharply due to wrist spin.
