Kanwar Grewal is a professional singer based out of Jalandhar, Punjab. Born in village Mehma Sawai of Bathinda district in Punjab at Sardar Beant Singh and Manjit Kaur’s home, Kanwar started learning music when he was in fourth grade. He was taught the basics of music from Vijay Kumar Sachdeva. Later, Kanwar graduated in music from SBS College (Kotkapura) and an MA in vocal music (2006) from Punjabi University, Patiala. He also rendered his services as a background music producer from 2006 to 2012 after his post graduation. He stepped into professional singing with his soulful song ‘Maaf Karin Rabba’ being promoted on Doordarshan Chandigarh. Next, he released his song ‘Akhaan’ on several social media outlets and was highly appreciated by audiences from every generation.
