Born in Surajpur, a small town in Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. Kangana Ranaut is currently one of the most successful and accomplished actresses in Bollywood and Whole of Indian Cinema. She made her debut in Bollywood at the age of 19. Her first film was Gangster produced by Mahesh Bhatt and Directed by Anurag Kashyap. She was widely praised for her role in the film. She even won the Filmfare award for Best Female Debut. Kangana has since gone on up and up in her career and has never looked back. In 2011, she starred in a huge commercial success "Tanu Weds Manu" alongside R.Madhvan. She was widely applauded for her role. Kangana considers this as a "game changer" for herself. In 2014, she starred in "˜Queen', a woman-centric film. The film turned out to be a huge success and Kangana was again widely applauded for her role. She won the National Award for her role in Queen. In 2015, she starred in the sequel of "Tanu Weds Manu". The film was a blockbuster at the Box office. She had attended Haryanvi workshops to prepare for her role as a Haryanvi girl. She again won a lot of accolades and won the National award for the second consecutive time. She has given a lot of successful films at the box office after 2015. Recently, she starred in "˜Manikarnika'.The film was a biopic of Indian freedom fighter, Queen of Jhansi. The film performed well at the box office and Kangana was again praised for her role.
