KA-19 is a LIVE band based out of Mangalore, Karnataka. This band is India’s answer to Cheech and Chong that comes with this famous duo. Austyn Goveas, who is the lead vocalist of a well-known Bangalore-based band, Mother Root, and a flourishing solo act, teams up with lead guitarist, Kishan Hebbar, of Mangalore's very own Shifting Scales and a graduate of Swarnabhoomi Academy of Music, to bring to you an acoustic adventure which will make your day a bit sweeter. They hope to bring back the musical experience of old school rock n roll; add to that, some alternative favorites and a sprinkle of catchy originals and you got music that you can groove along to or just sit back and relax to. Whatever is your flavor, the duo got it covered. The band has been playing a series of gigs around the country like Goa, Mangalore, Bangalore and Pune for two months. Think of the band as two people trying to find out which music works in different places.
