Jyoti Goho is a professional instrumentalist based out of the capital city of West Bengal, Kolkata. He is one of the most sought-after harmonium artists and one of the leading vocalists in India. Much known for his sensitive playing, Jyoti Goho is enhancing the level of singing to a significant extent. He has received accolades from one of the most treasured vocalists of all times, Pt Bhimsen Joshi. Jyoti Goho has performed in all the major music conferences in India and toured across countries like Holland, UK, USA, France, Canada, Switzerland, Australia, Germany, Middle East, China, and New Zealand. Son of Shri Shyam Sundar Goho and Shrimati Bela Goho, Jyoti Goho grew up in a musical atmosphere and learned classical vocal music from gurus like Shri Biren Bose, Shri Sanat Banerjee, and Pandit A Kanan, who encouraged him to embark on a career as a harmonium accompanist. With subsequent training in harmonium, under the meticulous care of Shri Deb Kumar Banerjee, Shri Jyoti Goho rose in stature to be a harmonium accompanist of superlative standards within India and abroad. His association with the maestro, Pandit Ajoy Chakraborty, also helped him immensely in learning the techniques of sensitive accompaniment and his ability to understand the mood and the spirit of the performer and adjust accordingly. Eminent singer, Pandit Vijay Kumar Kichlu, has also played a role in guiding Jyoti Goho to come to the limelight of professional stages all over the world.
