John Britto Dance Co is a professional dance troupe based out of the capital city of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. It is the brainchild of John Britto. John Britto is a gifted dancer, performer, choreographer, entertainment designer, celebrity dance guru and artistic director who pioneered South India’s largest dance education movement by starting the first western dance school in Tamil Nadu in 1995. As a young dancer, he has received numerous accolades from all over India and was the first and only person from the city to win the best dancer award from Shiamak Davar. As a successful choreographer, he has received many awards at the state and national level with the most special being the best choreographer award from Prabhu Deva for his choreography on dance reality shows. As a very sought after dance teacher, he was the first person from Chennai to be invited by the US Government on a Culture Connect 100% Dance Scholarship to perform and teach in the USA for American students. As a dance visionary, he received the inspiration to youth award by the Rotary Club of Madras Midtown and the dance icon award from the WE Magazine.
