Joel Sastry played his first gig when he was 14-years of age, joined a thrash metal band in 17, and continued along that path for a good number of years, playing for multiple bands in the local scene at 5-star venues. For over a decade, Joel has worked as a session musician with indie artists and prominent music directors in the Tollywood film industry. He is the lead guitarist for the band, Skrypt (progressive thrash metal genre). He is also working sessions for the Telugu and Kanada movie industry and now started his solo project, dabbling in a variety of genres including progressive rock, progressive thrash/death metal, lounge jazz and pop music, contemporary Christian rock and metal, church music and film soundtracks. His set comprises rock, pop, jazz lounge, and guitar solo instrumental with some of his original compositions as well as covers of artists like Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, John Petrucci, Vinnie Moore, etc.
