Joanne Fernandes is a singer-songwriter from Goa who sings musical genres like jazz, blues, soul, rock, funk, RnB, and electronica.
Known for her distinctive style, versatility, presence and dynamism, Joanne has been singing for as far back as she can remember.
As a child, she was popular for singing and dancing the Lambada and Paradise (Phil Collins). She scored her first commercial gig at the age of 15 and has pursued a musical career ever since.
Today, she has a vast professional experience of more than a decade, performing with different acts and across genres. Joanne is a constantly evolving artist with rare diversity and assuredness.
Ten years ago, Joanne had a two-year stint with a local pop rock band, and this experience gave her a foundation and insight in the music world; confirming that the vision for her future would be as a singer and musician.
In 2006, she won the Kingfisher Voice of Goa title for her rendition of The Greatest Love by Whitney Houston. Subsequently, as brand ambassador for Kingfisher Voice, she performed at more than 150 events in less than two years and made her mark as a voice to be reckoned with.
Joanne has been touring the four corners of India; within Goa itself, she has collaborated with a myriad of international travelling artists, most notably Duncan Bridgeman (Producer, One Giant Leap).
