Jijoy Pulikal Rajagopalan is an Indian film and theatre actor, who primarily works in the Malayalam film industry. He is also an associate professor in the acting department at the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune.According to Jijoy, he was interested in acting from a young age. He said in an interview, I am a performer; I have been all my life..After completing a bachelors degree at the School of Drama and Fine Arts, Thrissur, Jijoy worked in some films and serials, and later, he went to Pondicherry to pursue MA and M.Phil. in drama and theatre arts. Apparently, Jijoy was a gold medalist in both MA and M.Phil.In 2005, Jijoy P. R. got the opportunity to act in a multilingual theatre rendition of the famous Shakespearean play A Midsummer Nights Dream. From April 2006 to December 2009, he played the roles of Oberon and Theseus in the play, which was directed by Mr Tim Supple (U.K). The play allowed the Malayalam actor to perform at 365 shows in 28 cities in six countries including the US, India, Australia, Japan, England, Italy, Canada, and more. The project was produced by the British Council and staged in Swan Theater at Stratford-upon-Avon, UK.
