Jeffrey Iqbal, based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai, is a brilliant performer, singer, and all around artist. Jeffrey began his musical career at the very young age of 10. Born in the United States, his parents quickly recognized his inclination towards music. Quickly, Jeffrey accumulated for himself a keen understanding of North Indian Classical vocal along with instrumental, becoming very skilled with the harmonium and dexterous on Tabla. But Jeffrey’s zeal clearly laid in vocal and therefore, he was able to quickly expand his classical training to include Qawalis, Ghazals, as well as Bollywood music into his repertoire. In 2007, Jeffrey appeared on a television talent hunt on Sahara One. He was, on the spot, selected by the Academy, Grammy, and golden globe award winner for Slum Dog Millionaire, A.R. Rahman, to sing on his third Dimensional tour, where Jeffrey also shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the South Asian music industry such as Hariharan, Chitra, Sukhwinder Singh, and Sujata Madhushree. In 2008, Jeffrey was selected to be a part of 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2008 USA' which broadcasted on Zee TV USA. Jeffrey received the much coveted 1st runner-up position in overall ranking in the show. Selected by Music director Aadesh Shrivastava and vocal genius Suresh Wadkar, Jeffrey was honored with the invitation to represent the USA in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2009 in India. Jeffrey currently tours the world, composing, and working with some of the finest artists Bollywood has to offer. He is planning and waiting for the grand release of his upcoming album, and is very excited to share his self with the world through his music.
