Jeet Gannguli is a professional singer based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. He composes and directs music for Bollywood and Tollywood movies. Jeet is trained in Indian classical music under his father, Kali Ganguly, and his pisima (father’s sister), Shibani Roychowdhury. He studied jazz, Western classical music, and rock from the famed guitarist, Karlton Kitto. Jeet got his first break when Sanjay Gadhvi signed on to direct Tere Liye. He, in turn, signed on Pritam and Jeet as the music composers. Later, in 2002, Jeet was again roped in for composing the music of Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, after Gadhvi was again signed by Yash Raj Films to direct the film. After the pair had parted ways, Jeet started scoring music for Bengali and Hindi movies, jingles, and TV serials. Jeet has also composed music for a track by the well-known singer Sonu Nigam, which is titled ‘Aa Bhi Ja Tu Kahin Se’.
