Biography

Inspired by artists like Linkin Park, Shankar Mahadevan, and A.R. Rahman, Jay Rathod chose to be an Instrumentalist as his hobby. Jay was born and raised in Nagpur but now has moved to Mumbai to pursue his career. At a very young age, he was motivated by his father's story of how his father used to play Congo and harmonica during his college days but never got the chance to learn guitar. He learned to play guitar and kept playing guitar as his hobby until he got his first gig as a guitarist. He then never looked back and became a full-fledged artist. He started playing for different bands and won quite a few competitions as the Best Guitarist as well. He has also judged for an Instrumental fusion competition at IIT Bombay and band war competitions in Thakur College and KJ Somaiya College.
