Irfan Ahmed Khan is a young and promising artist, a disciple of a man who descends from six generations of sitarist - “Ustad Shahid Pravez Khan” and also the son of a very well known sitar teacher “Ustad Basir Ahmed Khan”.   “In our culture we have such respect for musical instruments ,they are like part of God,” said Pt.Ravi Shankarji, a fact being told and followed by many disciples and followers,  amongst which we have Irfan Ahmed Khan who is not just young at age but is also dynamic in his art. Coming from a artistic background and learning from his own father Ustad Bashir Ahmed Khan, who was a famous sitar teacher, makes the boy carry music in his genes. He is also the disciple of the man who is himself “Indian Music Personified”-Ustab Shahid Pravez Khan. Music is something which gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything. Irfan Ahmed Khan is earning fame and is applauded for his talent as a sitarist. He is also invited to various live shows to perform his abilities. His learnings from the great personalities is rewarded by the tremendous music played by him.
