The idea of Integratus started in the year 2007, when the bassist/songwriter Tanshuman met the keyboardist Srinjay, and started jamming with the Dream Theater covers. Since then, despite social and professional commitments, the two were on an active lookout for musicians who could fit into the technical dynamics of progressive metal as well as contribute towards songwriting. After many a trial and search, the duo finally found Mitul, a technically groovy drummer who created massive ripples in Delhi during his college band days. When they started jamming with Mitul, they built an even punchier sound with djent phrasings, ambient grooves and insane time-signatures combined with the traditional Dream Theater cinematic musicianship. The band is influenced from genres like metal, blues, psychedelic, funk, pop, classic rock, Indian folk, European folk, and EDM. The band has always tried to incorporate new sounds to their music, irrespective of the genre. They go beyond the boundaries of stereotypes. Later, the trio found guitarist Amar and vocalist Mangyang in the year 2014, and eventually the band turned fully functional. The launch of the YouTube studio play-through of their first original – ‘Creating Waves’ – created a lot of buzz for the band on the social media, and received accolades from renowned progressive metal bands like Andromeda and local metal giants like Undying Inc.
