My Compelling Story
Hiraeth is an ambient/progressive LIVE rock band based out of the capital city of India, New Delhi. Hiraeth is a Welsh word; to feel Hiraeth is to experience a deep sense of incompleteness tinged with longing. The band searches for an unknown, perhaps a non-existent, place in the space-time, where it longs to return and, for which, feels emotions that its wants to express. Their sound is an amalgamation of experimental, ambient, math, progressive, postmodern expressions. Some of their influences are Hans Zimmer, Joe Satriani, Pink Floyd, Paul Gilbert, David Bowie, Meshuggah, and Gojira.
