Biography

Hemant Sonawane is a professional painter based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. The artist professionally excels in multiple creative streams – sculpture, paintings, installation art, interactive art, interior architecture, and applied art. He undertakes commissioned work, private research work and also exhibits globally. Hemant started his artistic journey in Jalgaon, as an assistant to a local art director, painting mammoth backdrops of popular Marathi epic play, 'Jaanta Raja'. In a diverse career spanning over a decade, Hemant created art for prestigious bodies such as the former President, Prime Minister, and Naval Defense of India. Also on the list are corporate giants, premiere movie production houses, celebrities, noted artists, and architectural firms.
