Biography
Harpreet, based out of the capital city of India, New Delhi, got inspiration towards music from his father, and started singing at a very early age. Later, his keen interest in music took him to the next level, and he began writing and composing.
On the other hand, he has been performing on stage from his school days itself. Harpreet has also performed at National level for Taj Mahal on Taj Mahotsav on 7th July, 2007 which was broadcasted LIVE on ABP News and many festivals/occasions throughout the country. His songs are inspired from his life experience and are free from the boundaries of any language, genre, or region.
The languages of India, the poetry of India, that are a reflection of the ageless wisdom and awakening, are the life-force that pulsates through Harpreet's music. It touches the heart and opens it with its modern interpretation using musical instruments of our times and the beauty of the timeless message that is a gift from ancient practices.
Harpreet also composes his own songs and includes the writings of more contemporary poets.
Harpreet has been a part of numerous festivals like Aquajam, Music in the Hills, Sehmat, BYOFF (Bring Your Own Film Festival), Amarrass Desert Festival, Sonapani Music Festival, Music for Heritage - Bikaner, Taj Mahotsav for Star News, etc. And, he has performed at prominent stages like IIC, IHC, Thapar University (Patiala), NIT (Kurukshetra), SRCC, Ambedkar University, Young India Fellowship, Bikaner Engineering College, etc.
Harpreet's performance at the Jaipur Literature Festival was a mind-blowing performance and was highly appreciated by the audiences and delegates. His show at the blueFROG (New Delhi) with his band 'Harpreet Trio' was received really well by the audience.
He also has composed music for many short films and documentaries.
