My Compelling Story

Half Major is a LIVE band based out of Kolkata, West Bengal. Major is a chord in music, and to make it more suitable, the band call themselves Half Major. They primarily use Bengali language to express their feelings and thoughts in the form of their songs. In the middle of 2012, a group of guys from different musical background came together to start a musical journey, but the lack of seriousness forced Pushpendu (guitar) and Ani (drums) to find a new lineup with serious musicians. Soon, Koushik joined the band as the second guitarist, but there was a problem finding a vocalist and a bassist. From Koushik and Ani's friend circle, they recruited Raja to sing with them. Unfortunately, they still faced the severe problem to find a suitable bassist for the band. The group made a few local performances with a temporary bassist. By the end of 2013, Sudipto joined the band as a bassist and Raja quit the band for his personal reasons. Later, Sumit joined the band as their permanent vocalist. Currently, the band is working on their original compositions.
