Goutam Das Baul is a professional baul player based out of the capital of West Bengal, Kolkata. A descendent of the Bauls of Bengal, Goutam is one of the researchers and Baul followers who are trying to establish the history of the clan individually and academically. He sings the lyrics with the various instruments like iktara, duggi, and many others. Bauls use symbols and mysterious way to hide the feelings and realization from the common people. Goutam Das has given many performances worldwide with his team and aims to continue the old tradition of his clan and make people aware of this form of folk music.
