Girish Pradhan is a professional singer based out of the IT capital of India, Bangalore. He is the frontman of the famous band – Girish and the Chronicles (GATC). Born in a family that has been closely related to music, performing professionally on stage came as a natural instinct to Girish. He grew up listening to a lot of music genres, and tried singing like his idols. He listened to and learnt the songs, recorded himself on his recorder and then played it back. He did this until he felt it was good enough to perform LIVE. He later discovered Bon Jovi and got hooked on to his singing style. This was among his important transitions in his vocal development. Girish then moved on to metal genre. At 16, he got Iron Maiden's 'The Number of The Beast'. He went crazy after listening to the record. It took his a year to master that style of vocal. When he was studying in Grade 9, he formed Anarchy, his first metal band. His father managed the band and they did some of the biggest gigs in Gangtok. After a brief stay in college, he joined a small pub in Gangtok along with Suraz and Nagen and played weekly gigs there. Later, he joined a music school in Gurgaon, where he worked as a vocal trainer. After a few months, his brother called him up to ask him if he was ready for recording some jingles. Girish thought it was the right time and that's when he founded GATC. He recorded his first single, Angel.
