Gaia's Throne describes the genre of their music as sci-fi metal as it has elements of hard rock/heavy metal and western classical influenced guitar playing, thus making their sound a mash of progressive-neoclassical-hard rock. They are a heavy/power metal band from Pune, formed in 2012. With unconventional song structures and narrative lyrical content in a storyteller format, Gaia's Throne strive to push the envelope with their music set to the backdrop of a self-crafted science fiction universe. They recently released 'Crisis I: Bereavement', the first of a two-part song that sets the moment of calamity in their epic concept narrative for a full-length record that is currently in the works.
