From The Roots is a project that was conceived by young artists in 2013. This was created for those who wish to work in favor of their arts and fellow artists in India. The band wants to nurture and foster the arts and create a cultural and aesthetic awareness. After the successful Rural Roots Poject 1.0 in Narayanpur, Chhattisgarh, they were all set for the second set in Uttarakhand and called it Rural Roots Project 2.0. They have been raising funds to take music professionals to the tribal areas of Uttarakhand. They wanted to give a three day long music workshop of children.
