Biography

Freedom is a LIVE band based out of Imphal, Manipur. The origin of evening worship cannot be precisely dated back to any point of time with absolute certainty. It is a service that has evolved in form and order for over a couple of decades. However, in the recent times over two decades back, worship service underwent a transitional phase that perhaps is the landmark to the English Worship Service as we know today. It was during this time that choruses were introduced with instrumental accompaniments and installation of sound systems that gave a new perspective and approach as compared to the style practiced earlier. This new approach boosts a wider acceptance drawing even the younger generation to attend the service. It was this point that church elders and youth leaders prod into the matter to take evening worship service to a whole new level of worship where old and young alike gather to with one purpose of worshipping the Father with personal relationship and understanding. As a result, a full-time committed worship team was appointed that includes the worship leader, chorus and musicians. It has been four years now that the English service has been functioning successfully by the grace of God and with each passing Sunday, the joy of worship unfolds a novelty in its own right. Raimi Rimai (the first officially appointed worship leader of English service in the year 2008), a committed worship leader led the worship until the year 2010, who was then succeeded by Hunduo Ladumai Sakrimai, a dynamic man of God, who is still the present worship leader.
