Biography

Based in Shillong, Fourth Element is the only band in Northeast India that bends and blends the four styles of funk, jazz, RnB and soul in its quest for creative expression. Inspired by artists like Earth, Wind and Fire, Incognito, Joe Sample, James Brown, Lee Ritneour, Larry Carlton, Randy Crawford and Crusaders, the band plays music with spirit, soul and spunk and is constantly fashioning its own distinctive voice. Heading the band is Ribor MB, a music director in the Northeast and also a session keyboardist. Sara Lee, a young and dynamic singer, lends her soulful voice to the band. Amit Mullick plays the guitar. On drums is the renowned and accomplished Sam Shullai who also played for Soulmate, HFT and others. And finally, the newest addition to the band is bass player Jeffrey Laloo, who formerly performed for a Delhi-based band, October. The musical cocktail that they create, an assortment of originals and cover songs, can be sipped and savoured in myriad settings, be it a pub or club show, a concert, a corporate evening and other such events. The band is presently recording its first album.
