Biography

ESP, aka Eastern Soul Players, is a LIVE band based out of Jorhat, Assam. It is a folk rock band. The band was officially formed in 2010 and is a known name among the leading bands of north-east India. For long, the band has been trying to work on various types of folk music of northeast India parallel to the other genres of the west with an approach to bring out the unexplored and present it in a new form. They have several LIVE performances and original numbers to their name. Their unique sound of rock mixed with the flavour of folk have earned a cult following. The themes of their compositions are mostly based on philosophy, spiritualism and mythology. The band has been conferred with various awards and accolades for their musical work both in regional and national level.
