Escher’s Knot is a metal/progressive/rock LIVE band based out of the capital city of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. The band was founded in July 2009. The influences come from the bands like Tool, Textures, and Decapitated. The band showcases a peculiar blend of riffing and drumming, heavy bass, and growls & screeches. They won the Unwind Center’s Underground Battle of the Bands, where they grabbed all the individual prizes. They further made it to the Mood Indigo South Finals. In January 2010, Escher's Knot won the Let People Live concert and also finished first in Decibels, an event held at Saarang Fest, IIT Chennai. Besides, Manu won the title of 'best drummer'. The band got their biggest opportunity as they opened for the Swedish powerhouse band, HammerFall. The band later released its EP – 'Tessellations'. Members: Abijith – Vocals Anshuman – Guitars Siddhartha – Guitars Madhav – Bass Manu – Drums
