Ensamble Transatlántico de Folk Chileno is an indie project that has diverse musicians from Chile and abroad. The objective is to create music inspired from Chile and other participating nations. The orchestra is a collection of several acoustic instruments taken from folk and classical traditions. The original repertoire includes styles like cueca, huayno, ‘huachaca’ jazz, Mapuche singing, and rhythms of African descent. The musicians of this act avoid sheet music tradition during LIVE concerts, which leads to maintaining a constant visual communication with audience. Till date, over 100 musicians have participated in the project.
