Biography
Drawing Short Straws is a Pune-based LIVE professional band. The band describes their sound as stoner prog rock, which doesn't help much for the uninitiated, but full points of self-awareness. The band originally started off as a studio project between Sunai Marathe (guitars, vocals, keyboard) and Shreyas Iyengar (vocals, drums, and samples). Eventually, Siddharth Gupta joined them on bass during live gigs. They played their debut show at NH7 The Scene in 2013. Currently, they are working on their debut album. Apart from the complex name of their genre, Drawing Short Straws’s sound can be described as a down-tempo pace with some occasional mean and fuzzy guitars, topped up with clean vocals.
