My Compelling Story

DOR is a Sufi Rock LIVE Band based out of the capital city of India, New Delhi, delicately weaving and finely balancing Western elements of Hindustani vocals with blues, jazz, and rock music. DOR, in English, means ‘thread’, and the name was coined during the inception signifying the thread of music that binds the world together; especially its much talented and vivacious band members. DOR is a thread of trust, a thread of belonging, a thread of love which has been nurtured into power-packed performances over a period of time. Each member of DOR has an expertise in entertaining the crowd. They stand proficient in the genres of indie-pop, Sufi Rock, and popular Bollywood numbers today. Each song performed by them is chosen meticulously, keeping the target audience as the central point, and rendering a version of its own which is both entertaining and unique. Music produced by DOR is a good mix of different genres, the objective of which is to create a ‘feel good factor’ by offering something unique and pure. Two of their compositions – MAAHI VE, a progressive rock song and YAAR, a Sufi Rock composition – have been highly acclaimed by the audiences and are still greatly appreciated by them.
