DJ Saif aka Monofunk started spinning music at 32nd Milestone, one of the first clubs in Gurgaon. From there, he was offered the resident DJ gig in Hookah, Vasant Vihar, where he used to spin snazzy lounge music. After making the right impressions, he was called to UAE to play in Options bar, where he switched to deep tech house music. When he returned to India, he involved himself in events, gigs, and parties hosted round the world. Then, he visited Australia to play. The music there, its Western culture and its classic tribal culture became a second home to him. DJ Monofunk also played as a guest DJ at many high-society youth gigs and few clubs. It didn't take him long to earn the respect of people in the music community. He later started his own sound company called 'Music Merchants' and was involved in the creation of AquaFar in GK-2. The turning point in his life came when he was appointed as the face of the club and the official DJ for the famous Indian club – LAP, owned by actor Arjun Rampal.
