DJ Avneet has a been a DJ for the last 15 years and a producer for the last eight years now, gaining momentum over the years. His keen ear for music – coupled with his ability to mix underground sounds with ethnic classical and folk world music or create his very own Bollywood remixes – has gained him the reputation of not only a forerunner DJ in India, but also got him international acclaim. Avneet has his own style of DJing which is unique and addictive. He is one of the few DJs who have maintained the nostalgia of an old classic touch in his remixes. The journey started off in December 1999 when this man of all seasons decided to become a DJ and started spinning at Kasauli resorts. After doing a stint at his popular club for a year and a half, he moved back to Chandigarh to do gigs at various clubs in and around Chandigarh and took over simultaneous contracts for DJs at various clubs. In the year 2001, he joined Studio 69, a Ludhiana-based company which is into promotions, clubbing, private parties, gigs for liquor companies and designers in India, which led to a revolution of music in Punjab. In 2002, for New Year's Eve, he played for majestic Park Plaza Ludhiana and with his turntable skill, he wooed the crowd to dance to his kind of music rather than the regular blend of Punjabi music.
