Biography
Divya Goswami Dikshit is a professional dancer based out of the capital of India, New Delhi. She started learning Kathak from an early age. She is an artist who is anchored to the roots of traditional dance forms. She is held in high esteem amongst her inner circle of performing arts. It is her endeavour to reach out and spread the beauty of dance on an international level. In these fast-changing times, Divya stands still in her belief that Indian classical art forms. She was taught by Guru Yogini Gandhi at Kalanidhi Institute, Pune for 16 years. Currently, she is under the guidance of Guru Munna Shukla, maestro of the Lucknow Gharana. She has been performing as an artist and teaching her students for over 12 years. She has performed in various concerts and lecture demonstrations in India and abroad. To further promote Indian classical arts, Divya has established ‘Divyakala’, a creative venture showcasing her versatility as a dancer, teacher, artist, dramatist and creative therapist. She has worked in collaboration with Chandigarh Sangeet Natak Akademi, to enhance the creativity and overall ability of children in Government Schools through ‘Children’s Theatre Workshop and Festival’.
