Divine Connection is a LIVE band based out of Dimapur, Nagaland. The band was formed in 2004, and they love to experiment with genres like blues, rock, funk jazz, contemporary gospel, and Hindi music. The group has earned themselves a name by playing headlining slots at major music events and college festivals, eventually performing alongside international musicians. They have also performed at Pattayapraise 2009, Pattaya, Thailand. With more than hundreds of concerts across the country and abroad, two stellar releases, a full-length album ‘El-Roi’, and a self-titled EP, the band has attracted countless laurels for themselves. Each member of the group has become a key figure in the music community and won several awards for their outstanding proficiency. It is a star line-up of experienced musicians. They have been featured in media outlets like Rolling Stone magazine, RSJ magazine, radio and television interviews, and countless websites. They have shared the stage with bands such as Dub LFO (Israel), Too late Lucy (UK) and Indian bands like Raghu Dixit, Parikrama, Pt Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Mother Jane, Bhayanak Maut, Mind Snare, etc. Divine Connection had also supported John Schlitt of Petra during his tour of India. In 2010, out of 33 bands from the northeast, Divine Connection was selected to compete with ten other bands from across the country at MTV’s popular show Rock On (Desi Rock). After a fierce battle of the bands, DC went on to win the title of ‘The best rock band in India’ at the grand finale.
