The Greek letters that stand for Mean and Standard Deviation, respectively, were used by him to emphasize on the core business of his company, which mainly revolves around collecting and analyzing a companys data to suggest measures for boosting sales, reducing workload, maintaining efficiency, etc.Mu Sigma, which bagged Microsoft as one of its first clients, now boasts of serving over 150 Fortune 500 companies across over 10 industry verticals. An avid biker, Rajaram loves to ride Royal Enfield Bullet. With a valuation of $1.5 billion (INR 9,000 crore), the company entered the billion-dollar club in its February 2013 round of funding. You wouldnt come across any boss, who will motivate their employees to quit their job and start an independent business venture. However, that is not the case with Mu Sigma founder, Rajaram, who, reportedly, himself asks his employees to think big and get into their own start-up as soon as possible. Interestingly, he has an open offer 0f $25,000 seed-money for all of his employees who wish to quit and start-up. The aforesaid offer, however, is available only on one condition that the start-up, by no means, should compete with Mu Sigma.
