Founded in 2008, Deymintras is a Sufi and hard rock band from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Playing a blend of Sufi, retro and rock influences, they are not your typical fusion band. Their sound is distinctly characteristic, finely balancing traditional Hindustani vocals with western elements of jazz, blues and rock music. It was not easy because the band initially struggled a lot due to lack of gigs, resources, and support. The band played their debut gig at LMIT Lucknow and, after that, has performed in many more colleges. Deymintras have pushed the boundaries of Sufi and hard rock to new heights and setting an extreme standard by which others will follow. With two original compositions to their name, the band has plans of releasing its first video song in 2017.
