My Compelling Story
Toons is a professional DJ based out of the capital city of Maharashtra, Mumbai. Dealing in genres like Bollywood, house and trance for the last decade, he has got inspiration from artists like Steve Angello, Benny Benassi, Armin Van Buren, DJ Suketu, David Guetta, DJ Aqeel, DJ Vishal, DJ Taral, etc. The year 2009 proved to be a turning point of DJ Toons' career as he started getting opportunities to play. He began with playing for some private radio stations, and later represented Mumbai at some top Bollywood house radio stations. DJ Toons became the resident DJ of Om Valley, Club House Resorts. His opening sets for the guest DJs also became a rage. He has played at some of the leading clubs in India. He also started 'Trance Mission', a dedicated society for trance lovers in Mumbai. He has spun with Shankar Mahadevan, Vishal-Shekhar, Yo Yo Honey Singh, Hard Kaur, Falguni Pathak, Kapil Sharma, Arijit Singh, Ayesha Sagar (Australian singer), Ranvijay Singh (Roadies), Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashma (TV SITCOM), etc. He also opened for renowned artists like Nikhil Chinappa, DJ Vishal, Pearl, DJ Taral, DJ Rink, DJ A-myth, DJ Akbar Sami, DJ Suketu, DJ NYK, etc. He has also played alongside international artists such as Eskimos, Dark Soho, Space Tribe, Nirmal, Astral Projection, Jimy Crox, Ma Faiza, Edward Maya, etc. DJ Toons is best at playing Bollywood, house, EDM, psychedelia, and trance. He recorded an album containing eight tracks with Studio Purple Sky. His scratch mix for the song – Bin Tere – received huge positive response. Toons also created the official jingle for the radio station, 94.3 MY FM – Jiyo Dil Se. He won the 'Best DJ' title in War of the DJs – four times. He has also played at the first ever IPL after-match party at Dusk – Belapur CBD (Navi Mumbai), alongside DJ Amar. He has also been associated with United Spirits, Smirnoff vodka, Uninor, and Gionee mobile, for their product-launch events in Daman, Silvassa, and Gujarat
respectively. He also played at the launch of 'Gujarat Guardian' newspaper, to honor the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi.
