Biography

It all started in 2011 when few guys with similar interests came together to put up a musical performance for their annual party. This event got so much appreciation that performances every few months become a mandate in their company. Be in brand launches, festival celebrations etc. Initially the band started with the Mohit Mundra on flute and Prateek Anand on Drums as the folks on instruments and others on guitar and vocals. Soon they were joined by the powerful voice of Pranay Mathur. This was the turning point for the band. Since the three of them shared the same ideas about music, their influences are the likes of Kailash Kher, Clinton Cerejo, AR Rahman, Papon, Coke Studio, MTV unplugged and obviously many more. In terms of their sound they love a modern space with Drums and bass vibes, with the rustic touch of flute and Pranay’s earthy voice. This is how they got the core line up ready. Their idea of creating music is to create something simple, hummable but very powerful at the same time. Something that people can relate to, and have their own beautiful interpretation and co-relation with different phases of one’s life. The next real gig they got was the Friday jam at Cyber hub. This event had registered them as a corporate band which is basically a band with all working professionals. This time for the very first time their band was in front of unknown audiences, though individually all of them had some live stage experience from their college times; this was the first gig for Daftar Zild. This was followed by gigs they got via friends and friends of friends like Route 04, Cooper Grill. In-fact they were invited to play the haloween night at the Taj Vivanta Gurgaon. Recently, they even played a corporate battle of the bands at Hard Rock Café as well Friday Jam season 2. Apart from the gigs, they are working on recording their latest songs “Bawri” and “Jhooti Preet” which is beautifully written by Saloni and composed by Pranay, Mohit and Prateek.
