Biography

Crystal Heads is a LIVE band based out of Dehra Dun, Uttarakhand. The members attempt to take on the sides of life that defines the very meaning of existence, and for the direction and interpretation to define their music. Deeply influenced by Metallica and Mark Tremonti (Alter Bridge), the band plays music with the intention of reaching out to as many people as it can. Crystal Heads was originally formed by percussionist, Indresh Pathak, and vocalist/guitarist, Marshall Tyagi, in 2008. Following lineup changes thereafter, Akash (guitars), Nikhil (guitars) and Kiri (bass) joined in. After a year and a half, the band got to a point started performing at competitions and every gig that they could reach. After a lot of moving around, playing many gigs, music festivals, and college festivals, the band won a great gig at ONGC, Dehra Dun, in 2011 and entered the studio to record its first single, Mistakes. With an enormous support from the fans, the song helped the band to carve out a good place in the alternative rock genre.  The band also won the Annual Band War Festival three times consecutively in Dehra Dun. Crystal Heads kicked off 2012 with two consecutive wins at UTKRISHT 2012 and VIBEZ 2012 at GRD Academy.  The band has shared the stage with some great musicians and bands.
