Crematory Art is a LIVE band based out of Kolkata, West Bengal. Formed in 2011, the band witnessed a lot of lineup changes. Since it was required for the band to stand compatible with its genre, it was quite a tough task to give the group a perfect shape. Crematory Art consists of a whole lot of different musical styles that come simultaneously into each song. The band came into being as all the members represented different genres and styles of playing. Precisely, there is a blend of progressive and extreme metal including the influence of djent tonal reflections in almost every individual song. Suman, having been trained in pure Indian classical vocals, gave a strong melodic pasture to the arrangements. More colour was added as she started to do frontline growls. It is probably the first time in the Kolkata metal scenario. Bubun, the guitarist, and Subho, the drummer, being experienced campaigners, could add the needed textures the band heavily required. Playing in some fusion and rock bands formerly, enabled the guitarist to add an X-factor to the songs. Having acute knowledge in various music forms made Subho, the backbone of the band, who kept the group intact and is the mastermind behind the spotlight. Ankur, the guitarist, is an inexhaustible source djent grooves and mind-bending polymetric passages. That, coupled with the ability to generate astral melodies, has added a whole new dimension to Crematory Art. Chintu, the bassist, is their newest member. Coming from a chiefly metal background, his firm hold of the low frequencies adds rumble and depth to the band, mixing in well with guitars to create a wall of sonic destruction.
