Biography

Initiated his journey in 2003, Cosmic Brahma a.k.a. Abbhy or Abhishek learned disc-jockeying from Pro School of Disc Jockey in Bangalore, India. He is swimming deep into the ocean of music and has been mixing on CDs and turntables. Having played with different DJs in Bangalore in 2003, he became the resident DJ of Explode in 2004. In his early years of DJ-playing, hip and house were his primary styles. In Bangalore, Abbhy was associated with various clubs like Spin, The Night Watchman Pub, Urban Edge, F-Bar, Tuscan Verve, and many more. In 2005, he also played in South Park Hotel, Trivandrum. In the same year, he got the opportunity to witness outdoor electronic parties, which in turn helped him learn electronic music as a contemporary art. He got to attend parties till 2006, and observed and learned more & more of electronic music. Eventually in 2006, he began playing in a few events in Bangalore and backed the art of morning psychedelic trance – his favourite one from psytrance music. After gaining a lot of experience, Abhishek moved back to Guwahati, his hometown, and played in more events. The famous festival in Bangalore, Flames, served him a chance to play, in October 2007. He moved to Goa and he played in Mamboos, 9 Bar, and Paradiso. He also organized parties in Klub 7 in Delhi, in June 2009. He also played promo parties for the Mandala Project Festival. He says that his journey has just begun, and that the final destination is still far away. Cosmic Brahma has made it on big machines, and has shared the stage with artists like Sesto Sento, Neuromotor, Electric Universe, Arjuna, Nitrodrop, Guiseppe, Shiva Shidapu, Namarrkon, Megalopsy, and many more.
