Pallav Pandya is a professional keyboardist and one-man band based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. The talented musician, composer, arranger and singer is the music designer and band leader for artists like Sonu Nigam, Asha Bhosle, Shankar Mahadevan, and much more.
Pallav is among the pioneers of Indian style synthesiser tone makers in the country. He started his career as a singer but was attracted to synthesisers at the age of ten. He started playing a casio semi-professional keyboard and moved to Mumbai after graduation.
Pallav dreamt of a fretless keyboard from an early age as it was difficult to express the Gayaki in keyboards. He started exploring pitch bender and could use it easily up to +7 semitones (like a Sitar). He has studied jazz from the Mumbai-based American musician, Dee Wood (Guitarist).
Passionate for creating new sounds in synthesisers, he started creating new combinations for all his friends' various keyboards. Today, about 90% of Indian keyboard sounds have come from his brain.
Pallav became a demonstrator for Korg, Yamaha, and Roland. He is the advisor in the design of Yamaha i425 and PSR 950 (Indian samples).
He has performed in more than 40 countries. He has composed songs for Bollywood movies like Rush (Mumkin Nahi), Hunter (Bachpan Bhi Tha), and much more. He has invented ‘Ragamony’, an authentic combination of Indian raga and harmony.
